LPQE.COM is the public website of Lean Process and Quality Engineering. The site functions primarily as a technical resource library and point of contact for an independent professional network.

Information you choose to provide

When you use the contact form, send LPQE an email, request network access, propose technical material, or otherwise contact the organization, LPQE may receive your name, email address, professional affiliation, subject of inquiry, message, and any other information you choose to include.

Technical submissions may also include citations, documents, source information, professional background, or other material relevant to the proposed contribution.

The private LPQE network

LPQE maintains private communication channels for members. Information needed to administer the network may include a member's name, email address, professional affiliation, areas of technical interest, and membership correspondence.

Messages sent to a group discussion are shared with the participants in that group. Members should therefore use the network as a professional discussion forum and share only information they are authorized to share.

Selected members may also use an @lpqe.com address. Messages sent to those addresses are processed through the email systems needed to deliver the communication to the relevant recipient.

Information created by website operation

Like most websites, LPQE.COM may generate technical records when a page is requested. These can include an IP address, browser or device information, referring page, requested URL, access time, and server or security logs.

The hosting platform or website infrastructure may also use cookies or similar technologies required for security, functionality, traffic measurement, or site performance. Browser settings can be used to manage cookies where applicable.

How LPQE uses information

Information is used to respond to correspondence, administer network participation, review proposed technical material, operate LPQE email services, maintain the website, investigate technical or security problems, and understand how the public technical library is being used.

LPQE may also retain correspondence when it provides useful administrative history for membership, research submissions, source corrections, or other continuing network activity.

Who may handle the information

Information intended for a private group is naturally visible to the members participating in that group. LPQE may also disclose information when required by applicable law or when reasonably necessary to protect the network, its systems, or its users.

Retention

LPQE keeps information for as long as it remains reasonably useful for the purpose for which it was received, including network administration, correspondence history, technical submissions, website security, or recordkeeping.

Different types of information may therefore be retained for different periods.

Your choices

You may contact LPQE to request correction or deletion of personal information you previously provided, or to ask about information associated with your participation in the network. Requests will be handled subject to applicable requirements and information that LPQE reasonably needs to retain.

Members may also ask to leave the private email group. Browser controls can be used to limit or remove cookies stored on a visitor's device.

Links to research and other websites

The technical library contains links to research publishers, universities, government resources, companies, and other external sites. Once you follow an external link, the destination site's privacy practices apply.
